Text Statements

"The use of nuclear weapons against populated targets is barbaric. Threats of use are also barbaric and 'nuclear deterrence' is a hypothesis that is both unproven and impractical. Global security and human survival are jeopardized by the mere existence of nuclear arsenals. Abolition is not just a moral imperative -- it is also on the shortest path to true security.

"The greatest obstacle to abolition is lack of political will. That obstacle can be overcome with leadership, vision, and courage."

Don Whitmore
Auburn, Washington, USA

"I believe that nuclear weapons can and should be abolished. Now is the time for the United States and its citizens to take the lead in abolishing all weapons of mass destruction."

Mike Sirofchuck
Kodiak, Alaska, USA
